For the past 15 years, David Beutel, has been a principal in start-up companies, a senior executive in international companies, a consultant to small and larger organizations on new business ventures, and an investor in several earlier-stage private and public companies in Canada and the US. He is also a board member and chair of several public and private companies. During this time, he has written or reviewed and critiqued hundreds of business plans. As a principal and advisor, he has also raised several million dollars in equity and debt financing.

Since 2002, David has managed an early stage and technology related portfolio for a private investment firm in Toronto. In this capacity, he has developed an extensive network of professionals (investors, investment bankers, accountants, lawyers, research analysts and recruitment firms) that also have a passion for earlier stage private and public companies.

David earned his MBA at the Schulich School of Business (York University).
